Sales Manager – Shell
Key Responsibilities :
- Being part of a sales team in achieving business targets through value selling & customer support
- Develop performance testimonials & reports to increase sale of premium and top products
- Be a role model for HSSE (health, safety, security and environment)
Preferred Candidate Profile :
- Minimum 2-5 of years’ customer facing experience with exposure to technical sales or service
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree or a diploma course in Mechanical or related engineering fields.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and handle high pressure situations
- Strong presentation and confident communication skills
- Interest in technical/value selling rather than transactional selling process
- Skilled at software applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Key Roles :
Product Knowledge
- Understand features and benefits of Shell products and contrast features of Shell products with those of our competitors to explain Shell’s products effectively.
- Determine the appropriate application of different Shell products for customer situations.
Customer Support
Provide support to customers in the following ways:
- Recommend the appropriate Shell products and services for customer’s specific application.
- Identify and recommend Shell products and services to replace competitor products.
- Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving tasks related to lubricants
- Organise joint visits with technical support staff in cross-selling and up-selling activities.
Services
- Use Shell systems to determine which service is appropriate for customers.
- Promote Shell lubricant services to reduce customer total maintenance cost and provide strong service experience – including oil analysis, condition monitoring and lube management.
Sr. Sales Manager – Shell
Key Responsibilities:
- Support sales team in achieving business targets through value selling & customer support

- Improve technical skills of Caravan staff to increase sales conversion
- Exhibit leadership qualities in techno-commercial projects and deliver results through collaboration with the sales team

- Provide feedback to Shell’s technical staff on technical market trends
Training
- Train internal staff on Shell products, applications, and product specifications.
- Coach customers on Shell products, applications, and product specifications.
Services

Internship Area Sales and Application Engineer
Selected candidates will go through an extensive 3-month training course in lubrication technology and machineries used in manufacturing industries across a wide field of industrial categories. Training will include field visits to various manufacturing companies as well as Shell’s exclusive training modules in lubrication.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Being part of a team at Shell Industrial Lubricants division, which serves Industrial customers by solving problems related to Lubricants and lubrication technology for their machinery.
- Visiting the maintenance managers of existing customers and new customers to promote Shell Lubricants
- Coordinating between Shell and customers for solving queries and meeting customer requirements.
- Studying customers manufacturing process to suggest better lubrication solution for improving productivity and reducing cost.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Diploma in Mechanical or related engineering fields.
- Ability to learn quickly regarding Machinery and Lubrication technology
- Strong and confident communication skills in Kannada and English
- Working knowledge in Word, Excel, and other business applications
- Having own 2-wheeler.
- Staying/willing to stay in and around Bangalore
Career Growth Opportunities:
- At the end of two years of successful performance (or earlier) eligible candidates will be promoted to the position of Area Sales Manager.
- Those who have shown an aptitude for technical sales can further grow into the position of Technical Sales Manager and support the whole team in troubleshooting (assessment time for this is 3 years)
- Those who demonstrate excellent networking skills can be promoted to Business Development Manager where they can further those skills (assessment time for this is 3 years)
